Page header and the ribbon

After login, the upper part of the page displays a set of controls for user settings, search and logout from the server. An additional button image may be displayed here for administrators, notifying them of system events that require an administrator’s attention.

The middle part of the header contains a ribbon, serving as a menu of the server’s features.

The ribbon is divided to several tabs, each of them containing buttons for a set of features. They are described in more detail in the following chapters of this document or in other documents.

  • The dashboard DASHBOARD tab displays a set of panels with frequently used overviews and the QuickBar. It is described in chapter Dashboard.

  • The DOCUMENTS tab allows users to manage documents. Document-related settings (e.g. administration of metadata, document classes and ranks or their sorting to folders) are described in chapter Documents.
